A man was airlifted to hospital following an early morning cliff drama in Tenby over the Bank Holiday weekend.
Emergency services were called to assist a 26-year-old man at around 3.35 am on Saturday.
They found the man standing on a small ledge below Royal Lion Hotel on the junction of The Norton and High Street.
"There was serious concern for his safety, and officers attended in order to try to get him to safety," said a police spokeswoman.
"The man then began trying to lower himself from the ledge, but fell and landed in undergrowth."
Ambulance, police, coastguard and the RAF all assisted in trying to rescue the man - and he was eventually airlifted by the Sea King helicopter from RAF Chivenor to Morriston Hospital with serious, but not life-threatening injuries.
"There were no suspicious circumstances and no criminal offences," added the spokeswoman.
It is understood the man is from the Swansea area.
