Pembroke and District Male Voice Choir and their partners recently accepted an invitation from chairman of Pembrokeshire County Council and choir vice-president, Clr. Clive Collins, to to visit County Hall, Haverfordwest. A full tour of the council chamber had been arranged with a small buffet to follow. Naturally, the choir were expected to sing for their supper and in due course obliged with three items to the general approval and delight of all present. The acoustics of the building are considered to be first class and the choir took full advantage of progress attained under conductor Christine Lloyd by delivering full range of tonal variations, power and control in the items covered. At the conclusion of the visit choir president Phil Thompson presented Clr. Collins with a framed picture of the choir, while Clr. Collins reciprocated by presenting choir chairman, Frank Harris, with a commemorative plaque. Everyone associated with the choir spoke warmly of the welcome received and expressed pleasure of the building and contents.
