A special collection of portraits and stories of the people of Tenby by the people of Tenby will open at Tenby Museum and Art Gallery next month.
The ‘Made in Tenby’ exhibition by Alun Crockford will open on October 10 and run until November 11.
Alun is a fine art photographer working primarily with hand-crafted large-format analogue photography. From the first time he picked up a camera he has been photographing the people of his home, Tenby.
This exhibition will bring together some of his original photographs with new images and recordings of the Tenby community to celebrate all the people who make the town the special place it is.
During the exhibition Alun will be holding sessions to photograph visitors to the Museum and make them part of the displays.

His methodology references the origins of photography, utilising large format cumbersome cameras, though not the speediest of processes it enables him to create images with a timeless yet contemporary quality.
As well as featuring Alun’s work, the exhibition will also see contributions from Mick Brown, Graham Hughes, Sharron Harris, poet Nicky Lloyd, actor Josh Richards, and the community of Tenby who helped make this project possible.
