Despite persistent heavy showers on Sunday, July 1, a large number of supporters enjoyed a delicious cream tea in the beautiful gardens of Tides Reach in Cosheston, by kind permission of David and Rachel Thompson. The large marquee was crowded and around £1,200 was raised. During the afternoon, a cheque for £300 was presented to the charity by Mr. J. Hill, of the RAOB. Much thanks is due to them and all the supporters and workers who helped to make this such a successful event. On Sunday, July 29, a Family Fun Day will be held at Pembroke Rugby Ground from 12 noon. As well as a pig roast, children's rides, face painting, line dancing, stalls of all kinds and all the fun of the fair, there will be a celebrity guest appearance of Grand National winning jockey, Carl Llewellyn.
