In spite of pouring rain, the walk around the Angle Peninsular on Sunday, June 3, proved to be most enjoyable and successful, raising in excess of £1,500 for the work of Macmillan Cancer Support in this area. Thanks are due to Doug and Carol Smith, of the Point House Pub in Angle, for their magnificent support. Arrangements are now in hand for the Annual Cream Tea which will take place this year at Tides Reach, Cosheston, on Sunday, July 1, from 2.30 pm. Admission is £6.50 (£3.50 for children under 10) and will include a delicious tea with local strawberries and cream, raffles, tombolas, sales of local produce and much more. Parking will be available and anyone needing transport should ring the chairman, Monica Vanner, on 01646 683708. Tickets are available from members of the Pembroke committee or by phoning the chairman, or just turn up on the day. Everyone will be very welcome at this lovely garden and all the money raised will go towards the work of Macmillan Cancer Support.
