Three adults and a child were rescued by Tenby's inshore lifeboat crew at the weekend.

The lifeboat was launched at approximately 5.30 pm on Saturday after a father and his four-year-old son got cut off by the tide whilst they were angling off Lydstep Bay.

Two employees of the nearby holiday park went to their assistance, but due to the young age of the child they were unable to climb out of their position so the emergency rescue services were called out.

The staff members waited with the father and son until the arrival of the inshore crew, who took all four aboard and landed them safely back on the shore, where they were met by members of the coastguard team.
