A charity evening of live music in aid of a local mother who is battling against cancer is being staged at Lydstep Haven Holiday Park next week.
The entertainment, which kicks off at 7 pm on Thursday, October 6, will be to raise money for 27-year-old Ruth White, of Tenby, who is suffering from recurrent cervical cancer.
Local fundraisers have organised many events recently to help fund a 'stereotactic radiotherapy' procedure to aid Ruth, who may need to travel to America for the treatment, as it is not available on the NHS.
The live show will be headed by Swansea singer Tracy Welsh, with Tenby's own Alice Christopher, who has helped organise the event, also appearing on the bill, along with support from singers Amanda and Richard from the holiday park.
Alice, who also works at the holiday park as a vocalist and entertainer, has recently made it through to the regional finals of the Open Mic UK 2011 talent competition and a couple of days after the Lydstep concert will be performing at the Coal Exchange venue in Cardiff.
She has just recorded a CD, too, which will be on sale at the show, with all profits going towards the 'A Chance For Ruth' appeal.
Tickets for the charity evening at Lydstep are £10 for adults and £5 for children, with a curry buffet included. Tickets are available from Dales in Tenby High Street.
