Eight year old, Luke Harries from Pembroke, a member of South Pembs. and Trefloyne Golf Clubs, has just returned from Pinehurst, North Carolina, USA, having represented the United Kindgom in the US Kids Golf World Championships for the second consecutive year. With temperatures topping 100 degrees, the competition consisted of three medal rounds, off scratch, played over three days. With rounds of +1, +1 and -2, Luke finished tied for fifth place out of a field of 110 competitors. This tremendous performance guarantees Luke an automatic place at next year's World Championships. Luke is highly dedicated, puts a lot of hard work into his practice and can be regularly seen out on the course. His achievements have been thoroughly deserved.
