A family who recently rescued and returned a pet cat to its owners, have been reunited with the recovering patient.

Two-year-old Queenie the cat went walkabout for a week last month, until owners Peter and Margaret Russell-Gould, of Saundersfoot, put an advert in the Observer reporting her missing.

Having seen the picture of Queenie in the paper, she was 'luckily' spotted on Friday the 13th by Jason Silcox, his partner Lynne and their children Izzy and Joshua, at their home in Broadfield Hill.

They immediately telephoned the owners and happily she was returned home safely with just a few 'war wounds'.

"Queenie enjoyed an afternoon snack on Saturday when her rescuers, Jason and Lynne and their children, called in to say hello again, now she is fully recovered from her ordeal of being lost for a whole week," said Margaret.
