At a recent dinner held in the Plas Hyfred Hotel, Narberth, Dr. Anwen Williams, senior lecturer in rheumatology at the University Hospital of Wales, presented certificates and badges to members of the Narberth ARC branch. Over 405 years service was recognised at this important event.

Dr. Williams said: "The Narberth branch of ARC, which was formed over 25 years ago, has raised over £125,000 for research, money which was used at the University Hospital of Wales in training new doctors. ARC currently funds £2.6 million in research grants at the University of Cardiff College of Medicine."

She also said she was grateful to all those who gave their time as volunteers and who worked unselfishly for those less fortunate than themselves. The ARC Narberth branch is a fund-raising branch who are always looking for new volunteers to help with some of the events they put on throughout the year.
