Sir, May I say how much I have enjoyed the recent interchange of letters between Roscoe Howells and John Cattini on the meaning of the word 'Caldey'. I myself became embroiled in a similar interchange with Roscoe (though more light-heartedly) back in the '80s - something to do with the mysterious sighting of a stag swimming in Caldey Sound, I recall. Who needs to 'post it on the web' while we still have the Tenby Observer letters page? Long may it continue and long may Roscoe continue to 'spring' for his pen in response to all-comers in his own inimitable way!

June Howell, Penally.
