Pembrokeshire Libraries will be hosting a week-long series of free iPad courses and gadget drop-in sessions next month.
From Tuesday, April 1, to Friday, April 4, Communities 2.0 (a Welsh Government initiative aimed at breaking down barriers to new technology) will be encouraging people to come into their local library and learn how to use an iPad.
At the same time, libraries will also be hosting informal gadget drop-in sessions where people, who have a device, but want to learn more, can pop in and see how to get more out of it.
Library staff will also be on hand to show people how to use the range of free online facilities now available at Pembrokeshire Libraries, including the free Wi-Fi service, free e-books, free e-magazines and free e-audio books.
The week-long session is part of Spring Online Week, which began life in 2002 as 'Silver Surfers Day' - with the aim of encouraging more people to experience using tablets, laptops and computers.
The free introductory iPad courses and drop-in sessions will be taking place at the following times:
Tuesday, April 1 - Tenby Library: 10 am - 12 pm; Pembroke Dock Library: 1-3 pm.
Wednesday, April 2 - Milford Haven Library: 10 am - 12 pm and 1-3 pm.
Thursday, April 3 - Fishguard Library: 10 am - 12 pm and 1-3 pm.
Friday, April 4 - Neyland Library: 10 am - 12 pm; Haverfordwest Library: 1-3 pm.
