Physics teacher Dr. Mark Smith has just published his first book on the subject of science and religion.

Brought up in Landshipping, after attending Whitland Grammar School he studied in both London and Aberystwyth before returning to Pembrokeshire to live, work and raise his family.

After 20 years' service locally, he has decided to enter the literary discussion and sets out to show that much of the anger and hostility of the current debate as typified by scientists such as Prof. Richard Dawkins are unjustified. His text concludes that there is much of similarity between the two disciplines and a great deal to be gained by their co-operation.

Dr. Smith lays much of the inspiration for the measured tone of the book on the creative and enquiring minds of the Pembrokeshire and Carmarthenshire pupils he has taught - it is in part dedicated to them. 'Don Quixote's Disciples' is available in paperback and kindle version from the Amazon website, or by request in local libraries.
