Carew entertained Solva on Saturday still searching for their first win of the season and they will still be searching next week after the visitors won 3-1.

The home side gave a better account of themselves this week, yet they were still no match for Solva as they eased to a convincing win. The only bright spot for the home team was Haydn Shapcott's goal in an otherwise, cold and miserable afternoon.

Narberth endured a better fist of it as they travelled away to Goodwick United and came away with a 1-0 win. Few would have given Nigel Thomas's team much of a chance at Phoenix Park, given their respective league positions, yet the Bluebirds battled hard throughout and were rewarded for the endeavour when Jordan Williams snuck one past the 'keeper for that all-important score.

Kilgetty travelled to Hakin United and came home with their tails held firmly between their legs after they lost 6-1. Hakin appear to be getting back to the kind of form that enabled them to win seven consecutive titles in the late 1990s and early part of the Millennium as they ran Kilgetty ragged.

Kilgetty manager Andrew Cope would have gleaned little from the result, although it was pleasing to see yet another name pop up on the team sheet as the little known Boaventura Mesquito managed to find the back of the net.

In Division Two, Pendine's winning run continues as they travelled to Manorbier United and won a thrilling match 7-4. Steve Jones led the way with a brace of goals, with Ricky Hunt, brother Justin and Julian Blewitt and Julian Stevens all grabbing one apiece.

For Manorbier, their goals were scored by James Hall and Mike Ryder, the former ending the game with a well-earned hat-trick.

Saundersfoot entertained Camrose and were victorious 5-2 thanks to a Danny Caine hat-trick, with the other goals coming from Nielson Cole and Ricky Evans.

In Division Three, Lawrenny lost 4-1 away to Monkton Swifts' second team, while St. Clears' march towards league honours continued as they travelled to St Florence and won 3-1.

John Knight scored for the home side, while Colin Reynolds, Steve Trivet and Stephen Thomas all found the back of the net for the visitors.

In Division Four, Carew seconds lost 4-0 away at Herbrandston, while Kilgetty seconds lost 3-2 at home against their counterparts from Neyland. The same fate befell Saundersfoot Sports' second team as they lost 3-2 away at Milford United.

Meanwhile, a few of the Division Five teams were in cup action over the weekend as they played the first leg of their own competition, with Lawrenny topping the tree as they entertained Haverfordwest Cricket Club and annihilated them 10-1.

In a display of total football, Rob Beynon scored once, John Beff twice, while Mike Beynon slammed seven in for good measure.

Pendine seconds lost 7-1 at home against Hundleton, while in league action, St. Clears won 4-1 at home against Pembroke Boro, with Tim Howard, Mike Bowen, Steve Bancroft and Roger Evans scoring the goals.
