Kilgetty missed an opportunity to move top of Division Two after a less than impressive display against Camrose resulted in a 5-1 away defeat. Manager Andrew Cope admitted his team were the lesser of the sides, although he wasn't entirely happy with the referee's performance after he gave a penalty against them (which resulted in keeper Stuart Allan being sent off) and failed to award them one just minutes before! "If we had got the penalty and scored from it, it would have been 3-2," admitted Cope. "Instead they went up the pitch, got a penalty of their own and the score ended up as 4-1 and we were down to 10 men! But that's football I guess." Kilgetty didn't help themselves in the first half as they trailed 3-1; Grant James scoring with another fine header after Adi Howarth, Steve James and Adam Hawkins had done the early damage for the home side. The visitors played better in the second half, but then came the controversial moment that led to Allen's dismissal, before Camrose stepped up a gear and scored in the final minutes of the match. After an impressive start to the season, this game highlighted the frailties of sport and Kilgetty's misery was compounded with the news that star striker Nick Cope will be sidelined for up to two months with a hip injury. Manorbier United had a good win in their derby against Tenby, but it wasn't plain sailing for the visitors to the Clicketts as they were up against it in the first half. "It was tough going," said manager Paul Maytum. "Fair play to Tenby, they were all over us, we were really under the cosh, luckily James Nicholas scored to put us 1-0 up at the break." Manorbier changed their formation to 4-4-2 after the interval and the changed appeared to show dividends as they began to boss the game more and Jamie Robertson scored mid-way through to give them the points. In Division Three, Lawrenny battled away for a 1-1 draw at home against Haverfordwest Cricket Club with all the goals coming in the first half. A tight early period saw the game level at 0-0, until Haverfordwest took the lead after 30 minutes when Lee Goodinson scored with a looping header from a free-kick. It looked as though the visitors would go into the second half a goal to the good, until Lawrenny were awarded a free-kick five minutes before the break and scored a virtually identical goal to their opponents through Mike Jolly. The second half was equally as tight, although Steve Campbell was unlucky not to score with a rasping 40-yard shot that just skimmed past the uprights. Kilgetty Seconds had a day to remember in reserve Division Two, winning 6-0 at home against Tenby. For such a dominant scoreline, the home side didn't hit their straps until the second half, going into the break 1-0 up, with Barry Ormond scoring the first of his four goals. Kilgetty cut loose, though, after the interval, with Richard Gwyther scoring a penalty to make it 2-0, before Ormond added another three to his tally, with Anthony Bevan scoring the other. It was a day to forget for Manorbier United's second string as they went down 9-0 at home against Camrose. The home side were never in it as Camrose controlled matters from the outset with four goals from Sion Price, two from Gavin Thomas and one apiece from Ewan Thomas and Gavin Morrisey to go along with an own goal from the homesters. Pendine went close at home against Pembroke Boro, losing 2-1. In a closely fought encounter, the Gulls could have gained something from the game with a superb goal from Paul Langdon, but scores from Jamie O'Sullivan and Gary John put paid to any hopes they may have had of sharing the points. Lawrenny were another reserve team to be on the losing end, going down 3-0 away at Haverfordwest Cricket Club. It was an even first half, with the visitors trailing 1 -0, but the home team cut loose in the second to score two more, despite Lawrenny's battling performance with goals from Sam preachment and Rory Blake, who added another to go with his score in the first half.
