Division One

Carew 3 Solva 2

Carew had to work hard to win this match as Solva got stuck in from the start. Ian Sefton broke the deadlock after 30 minutes to put Carew in front, but Solva equalised with a volley from the edge of the box. Shortly before half-time, Rob Whitfield put Carew in front once again. The second half was a tussle at both ends of the field and in the last 20 minutes Haydn Shapcott managed to increase the lead for Carew with his team's third goal. With 15 minutes remaining, the visitors clawed a goal back and shortly afterwards were awarded a penalty. Ian Kerrison pulled off one of his speciality saves again in Carew's champagne moment of the match and Ollie Morgan cleared the rebound off the line. Richard Bland played well in defence for Solva with a very powerful performance and Ian Kerrison's penalty save, made sure that Carew would pick up the points. Manager Mike Lewis was sidelined through injury and was unable to play or even be present to watch the match. Speaking to Observer Sport he said: "All in all it has not been a bad season as we have finished second in the league and reached the semi-finals of the cup. Unfortunately, it all went pear-shaped in our away match at Narberth, otherwise we might have won the league. "On a personal note, I would like to thank all of the boys for the commitment and enthusiasm that they've shown this season which has been very much appreciated by skipper Dean Rossiter and me."

Division Two

Hundleton 2 St. Clears 3

Hundleton might be propping up Division Two, but they gave St. Clears a run for their money, particularly in the first half where they had the better of proceedings. Somewhat against the run of play, the Saints took the lead when an in-swinging cross from a corner by Eddie Wiggins beat everyone through the air and went into the back of the net. Hundleton equalised through Neil Griffiths and scored again before half-time when Jamie Stanley put the home team in front. In the second half, it was a different story. St Clears rang the changes and started to get on top. A goal by Stan Thomas gave the visitors parity and then Alex Pickersgill grabbed a late winner to take the points back to St. Clears. It was a bit of a lacklustre performance by the Saints, but Diean Glyn stood out, whether playing as a sweeper, as he did in the early stages of the game, or later in the centre of midfield.

Pendine 3 Johnston 0

Third place Pendine were home to Johnston who are just a few places below them in the Division Two table. After a recent run of poor scores, the Seagulls were unable to convert chances into goals, but managed to keep a clean sheet in the first half. In the second half, the Seagulls began to click. Substitute Simon Evans gave Pendine the lead and a goal by Wesley Reynolds made it harder for Johnston to get into the game. Any remaining doubt about the result was removed by skipper Justin Blewitt with a superb volley from 20 yards.

Saundersfoot Sports 2 Kilgetty 2

There is nothing to choose between the two teams in the league table, with Saundersfoot in sixth position and Kilgetty in fifth position. There was little to choose between these two teams in this enthralling local derby where the players produced some fine football and kept the large crowd interested until the final whistle. Saundersfoot manager Chris Jenkins said: "It was a terrific game, with end to end action throughout the 90 minutes. Kilgetty should have won it by right, just for the number of chances created". Allen Hurst, a former manager of the Kilgetty Club, agreed. Watching the match as an interested observer, he said: "It was a very good game with action at both ends. In some ways the draw was a fair result, but Kilgetty will be the more disappointed of the two teams. "Nevertheless it was a good team performance by Kilgetty, who were often thwarted by the tremendous saves made by 16-year-old Saundersfoot 'keeper Richard Thomas." The visitors were on top for the first 20 minutes and created a number of chances, which were not taken. When Jack Bevan was taken down, Kilgetty were awarded a penalty and took the lead through a goal by Anthony Bevan. The Saundersfoot team came back into the game well and for the remainder of the period play was quite even. At the start of the second half, a thunderous volley by Anthony Bevan from 25 yards rebounded off the woodwork. Play was taken up to the other end of the field where Saundersfoot were awarded a penalty after a Kilgetty player handled the ball. Sam Coleman made no mistake from the spot-kick to level the scores. For the next 15 minutes there was non-stop action at either end. After a great run up the left by Josh Bevan, he crossed the ball for Nick Cope to put the visitors in front with a well-judged header. Again Kilgetty were on top for a period until the last 10 minutes when Saundersfoot Sports fought back strongly in search of the equaliser. Saundersfoot were awarded a free-kick and with everyone expecting Jason Llama to put the ball into the box, he hit it in the words of Allen Hurst "sweet as a nut" to bang the ball into the top corner to earn Sports a point. Midfielder Jack Bevan was the standout player for the visitors and goalkeeper Richard Thomas, who is Saundersfoot Young Player of the Year, was the star of the show of Sports. Division Three

Lawrenny 1 Lamphey 6

Despite the scoreline, Lawrenny played quite well in this match and had a number of half chances, but were unable to score until late in the game. Anthony Webb opened the scoring for Lamphey from the edge of the box after 30 minutes and Ross Fortune increased the lead with a back post header. Shortly before the interval, Anthony Webb picked up his second goal of the match. At the start of the second half, some clever inter-play resulted in Anthony Webb receiving the ball and his deft lob over the 'keeper's head gave the striker a fine hat- trick. Goalkeeper Jason Oakley had a run down the right for Lamphey and when he crossed the ball into the box it was deflected accidentally by Simon Webb to give the visitors an own goal. A piece of ping-pong in the box eventually resulted in Lawrenny scoring through Kelvin George, but Lamphey had the last word when Leighton Doyle scored on the break. For Lawrenny, Mike Jolly played well up front.

St. Davids City 5 St. Florence 2

Although St. Florence lost the battle of the Saints, the team finished the season in a commendable third position. St. Davids City were already promoted along with the division three champions, Manorbier United. St. Davids scored through Mark Evans, Chris Guy, Gareth Morris, Gareth Thomas and Gavin Joyce. Gareth Jones scored one goal for the visitors and the other came from an own goal. St. Florence won the Third Division Cup this season and will be looking to be more consistent in the league with the view to achieving promotion at the end of next season. Reserve Division One

Johnston 1 Carew 1

Carew have moved up one position into fourth place in the table as a result of this draw away to Johnston. Andrew Ablitt scored the goal for Johnston and Joe Kidney was on target for Carew.

Narberth 2 Goodwick United 6

It has been a case of 'after the Lord Mayor's Show' for Narberth in league action since winning the Reserve Cup Final. In this game, the Bluebirds were poor and no one shone, as the players were unable to motivate themselves and get out of the end of season blues. Skipper Adrian Howells said: "We were just not in it today and not at the races. Winning the cup was great, but there is no doubt it has affected our league form since that evening in Haverfordwest." The Bluebirds were five-nil down at half-time, but played a bit better in the second half. Gavin James and Steve Williamson both scored for Narberth and the visitors only made one breakthrough to score after the interval. Rob Couzens had a hat-trick for the Goodwick team; Mark Evans found the back of the net twice and the other goal was scored by Lewis Banks.
