Division One

Hakin United 1 Carew 2

Third placed Carew had the better of this game as a result of two goals scored by teenage striker Mike Boswell. John Bennett was the solitary scorer for the Vikings.

Narberth 1 Merlins Bridge 3   Narberth's chances of becoming Division One champions went up in smoke following this defeat and manager Paul Phillips couldn't hide his disappointment. "We had to win this game to stand any chance, but the truth is they outplayed us. We didn't do a lot in the first half and although we were better in the second, it just didn't go our way." The Wizards were 1-0 up at the break, but a Richie Adams penalty soon levelled matters early in the second half. Narberth came back into it more and had chances to score, but on two occasions as a goal looked likely, Merlins Bridge broke away to score to shatter the Bluebirds' dreams of league success. Adi Smith scored twice for the visitors and the other goal was scored by Matthew D'Ivory.

Division Two

Kilgetty 4 Johnston 1   Kilgetty produced a stellar performance to defeat the Division Two Cup semi-finalists at home, winning 4-1. Home team manager Andrew Cope has always stressed his team play best when they move the ball around and this is what they managed to do in carving out such a comprehensive defeat of the visitors. "We were able to pass the ball around and it was a comfortable win in the end. We dominated from start to finish and scored some excellent goals." None was better than the first which was scored by Nick Cope who produced what must be the goal of the season, with his 40-yard strike flying into the back of the net. A Cope corner was then deflected in by an opposition player, before Geoff Marsh headed home the third just before half-time. Kilgetty conceded a soft goal after the break when Jim Payne opened the account for Johnston, but made up for it soon after when Cope hammered home the team's fourth for an excellent win.   Pendine 3 Saundersfoot Sports 7   With a cup final appearance less than a week away, Pendine's preparations could have gone a bit better than they have lately. This was their second defeat over successive weekends and with a mid-week defeat at the hands of Hundleton sandwiched in-between, it's not looking good and this defeat against Saundersfoot proved it. They were well off the pace in a game they were expected to win, but Saundersfoot had other ideas and proved it by winning by such a healthy margin. Division Three

Lawrenny 0 Newport Lions 1

Lawrenny started reasonably well and Mike Jolly came close to scoring, but the ball hit the bar. In the first half, the visitors did not trouble the Lawrenny defence, while Lawrenny had a number of half chances to score which were not taken. In the second half, the Lions had the wind and put Lawrenny under some pressure. Within 10 minutes, the visitors had gone in front with a far post header. In the last 20 minutes of the match, Lawrenny fought back and were all over the Newport team, but unable to hit the back of the net. Simon Cole came the closest to scoring, but once again Lawrenny paid the penalty for failing to take chances in a typical end of season game.

Manorbier United 1 St. Florence 3

This match was a dress rehearsal for the Third Division Cup final and St. Florence gained three points in a match that was sadly to prove meaningless to them as other results meant they will remain in Division Three next season. Manorbier, already assured of being Division Three champions, fielded an experimental side due to injuries to key players and did not display the level of display that the Yellows have become accustomed to this season. Colin Batley gave the Saints the lead after just five minutes by capitalising on a defensive mistake by the home side. St. Florence were the hungrier side in the first half and only good goalkeeping from Manorbier's Mike Brown and excellent defending kept the score down. In the second half, St. Florence made it 2-0 with a goal from Adam Johns. For 20 minutes, the Yellows responded and deservedly pulled a goal back from Jamie Robinson. However, St. Florence sealed the points with a late goal from Scott Smith. For Manorbier, James Nicholas had an excellent game in defence and Josh Hawkes was energetic in midfield. The match was sponsored by No 25 Café (Tenby).

Reserve Division One

Hakin United 2 Carew 0

Following this match, Hakin United were third in the table with 51 points from 26 games and Carew were fifth with 49 points from 27 games. The Vikings picked up the points as a result of goals from Anthony Mayhew and Jamie Butland, while Carew were unable to score in reply.

Johnston 3 Narberth 1   Narberth travelled to Johnston expecting to win, but came away on the wrong end of a 3-1 scoreline, with Andrew Ablitt claiming a hat-trick for Johnston. They can be excused for that, however, since they did win the Reserve Division Cup final only a few days beforehand and were still feeling the effects of that. However, skipper Adrian Howells refused to offer that as an excuse, claiming his team were just plain 'awful', except for Liam Woodford who had an excellent game. Huw Vaughan scored Narberth's only goal in a match they would rather forget.   Kilgetty 0 St. Ishmaels 2   Kilgetty are not finishing the season as they would like and went down to yet another defeat. It's been a rough couple of weeks for Barry Ormond and his team and Tish are not a team to be sympathetic and this was proved as they stormed to a 2-0 lead through Lennie Rees which they kept for the rest of the game. Kilgetty had a few chances to score, but were not precise enough in their finishing warranting getting anything from the game.   Reserve Division Two

Pendine 3 Hubberston 1   If Kilgetty are having a rough time at the business end of the season, Pendine certainly are not. Having propped up the table for the majority of the year, they are now showing the kind of form that could have earned them a mid-table position, although it will be too late for that. Steve Jones scored twice for the homesters, while Ashley Eades grabbed the other as Hubberston were put to the sword in an excellent display by the Seagulls.

Prendergast Villa 10 Lawrenny 2

Prendergast Villa showed just why they are the league champions by scoring seven goals in the second half to add to the three scored in the first half. Villa received the championship trophy before the game and played with an experimental formation before the interval, but still managed to score three goals, although Lawrenny did score two in reply through Dean Morris and Jonathan Beff. The first Lawrenny goal came from a penalty through Jonathan Beff and the second by Dean Morris was scored when he finished off some 'pinball' in the box. In the second half, an under-strength Lawrenny team crumbled as Villa piled on the pressure, although Ian Jenkins and Paul Edwards did show the benefits of having some old heads in defence for Lawrenny. Liam Arnold led the goal-scoring spree for Villa with a hat-trick, with both Gareth Richards and Dean Flood finding the back of the net twice. Other goals were scored by Steven Britton, Grant Young and Tom Jones.
