Division One

Goodwick United 1 Carew 5

Division One dark horses Carew kept in touch with the division one leaders and moved up a place in the table with this convincing away win against third-placed Goodwick United. The visitors were four-nil up at half-time. Although the pitch was rather sticky, both teams wanted to play the match and Carew were on top form from the start. After having a couple of chances cleared off the line, Carew opened the scoring with a goal by Tom Meiring, followed up by a Dean Rossiter rocket special. Inevitably, teenage striker Mike Boswell got his name on the score sheet with two goals before the break. In the second half, Daniel Williams clawed a goal back for Goodwick, before Carew picked up their fifth goal with an excellent strike by Richard Bookless. Ben Brooks and Ollie Morgan gave outstanding performances at the back for Carew. Tenby 1 Hakin United 13

Tenby were not at the races in this match against the visitors, who were eight goals up at half-time and who have games in hand over all the teams above them in the division one league table. Some players tried hard in the scratch Tenby team, but were on the backfoot after the Vikings had scored three goals in the first five minutes. For the first 20 minutes of the second half, Tenby resisted and the visitors were unable to score. Eventually their persistence paid off again and five more goals were added to the total. Ben McDonnell scored the only goal for Tenby, who were reduced to 10 men halfway through the second half, although Colin Wherrett kept motivating his team-mates throughout the match. Three players, Aaron Owens, Mike Cooper and Justin Harding picked up hat-tricks for the Vikings, Chris Millick scored twice and the other goals were scored by Steve Mathias and Colin Fawcett. Division Two

Hubberston 1 Pendine 0

Pendine's promotion hopes suffered a blip on Saturday after they came away from Hubberston on the back of a sorry 1-0 defeat. League form suggested that this would have been an easy game for the Seagulls as they are one place below the promotion zone in third, while the home side are languishing at the foot of the division in 13th. Regardless of their current league positions, the visitors would have been confident of success after a string of impressive results. With the semi-final approaching for the Division Two Cup, they would have been eager for this form to continue. However, it wasn't to be as the home side took control to take all three points on offer, with Mark Khan getting the decisive goal.

Division Three

Lamphey 6 Lawrenny 0

There is little to choose between these teams in division three, with Lamphey in seventh position and Lawrenny in eighth position. However, there was a big difference in this match as the visitors never managed to get in the game. Lamphey scored four goals before the interval, including a penalty taken by goalkeeper Jason Oatley. Lawrenny played with more resolve in the second half, during which Lamphey added two more goals. Apart from the goal from Jason Oatley, the other Lamphey scorers were Gordon Skyrme, Ross Fortune, Mike Cole, Stuart Morrison and Anthony Webb.

Manorbier United 5 Haverfordwest Cricket Club 0

Manorbier United confirmed their top-of-the-table status in emphatic fashion with a convincing win over second placed Haverfordwest Cricket Club at the sporstsfield. The Yellows started brightly and came close to scoring on two occasions in the opening exchanges. After 10 minutes, Jamie Robinson's superb work on the right set up Adam Thorne to calmly finish from close range to give the home side the lead. As the home side found their stride, James Hall's persistence won a penalty and his brother Ben duly made it two from the spot. Despite not hitting top gear, Manorbier continued to create further chances and it was no surprise when left midfielder Josh Hawkes skipped passed two challenges to make it three before the break. The first 10 minutes of the second half, saw the Cricketers create pressure of their own, but as is their way this season, the Yellows' defensive line and goalkeeper gave few scoring opportunities away. In the last quarter of the match, an inspired substitution by the Manorbier manager gave the wily Phil Christopher a chance to add pace and flair up front! His deft flick allowed James Hall to run clear of the defence and score with a super finish. Christopher was again involved in the move that saw Jamie Robinson the beneficiary this time, to slot in the fifth from close range to seal three more points in the division three promotion race. For Manorbier, Adam Thorne and Josh Hawkes had excellent games in midfield and Jamie Robinson and James Hall paired well in attack. The match was sponsored by No 25 Café (Tenby).

St. Davids City 2 St. Florence 3

This was an impressive performance by St Florence against a team who are two places above them in the league table. St. Flo opened the scoring with a well-worked goal from Adam Johns, but the visitors were denied a two-goal lead with a fine save from a penalty. Just before the break, St. Davids equalised with a goal from David Price to make matters even at half- time. The second half started much the same as the first, with the away side in top. A fine solo effort from Andrew Culshaw gave the visitors just reward for some quality football to make it 2-1 to the visitors, Andrew's older brother, Liam, then got into the act when he smashed the ball into the back of the net with a right foot shot from about 25 yards. When the visitors were reduced to 10 men, St. Davids took advantage of having an extra player by pulling one back through David Price, who scored his second goal of the match. Minutes before the end, St. Florence could have put the game out of reach, but the visitors were again unlucky when the penalty kick struck the post. In a tense finish, St. Florence held out for a much- deserved victory. It was a superb team effort by St. Florence and Andrew Culshaw worked tirelessly up front.

Reserve Division One

Carew 10 Neyland 1

Carew dominated this match, but only scored three goals during the first half and a lot of chances were missed. Joe Kidney opened the scoring for Carew and the lead was extended by a goal from Carl Wainwright, before Paul Davies struck for Neyland. Joe Kidney's second goal gave Carew a cushion of a two-goal lead at half-time. In the second half, Carew continued to create chances and more were taken, with seven goals being scored after the interval. Carl Wainwright and Joe Kidney both had hat-tricks, Neyland conceded an own goal and the other Carew goals came from Paul Bullock, Neil 'Woolley' Morgan and Ian Sefton. Roger Scourfield had an excellent game at centre half in only his second game back after injury; Joe Kidney was very quick up front and ripped the Neyland defence apart, with Ian Sefton putting in a good performance on the left. Reserve Division Two

Lawrenny 0 St Clears 5

For the second week in succession, St Clears' second string won convincingly against Lawrenny. The Saints are putting together a good string of results as the season draws to a close and promotion may be on the cards; the opposite is true of Lawrenny. This may be a difficult season for Lawrenny, but they are not despondent, even though they succumbed to another heavy defeat against The Saints. "We had a few players out for one reason or another," said Jonathan Cole. "We battled hard to keep them to 1-0 at the break, but to be honest we were second best throughout, especially in the second half where St. Clears overwhelmed us." Nigel Price gave them the first half lead, but they cut loose after, as James Owen scored twice alongside goals from Colin Reynolds and Steve Aston. The win places St. Clears third in the league, just one point behind Solva, with a game in hand over their promotion rivals.

Letterston 2 Tenby 3

Brian Millard gave Letterston the lead, before Alan Townsend levelled the scores for Tenby. The visitors had travelled to Letterston without any substitutes and player manager Mathew Broadhurst was injured after 20 minutes, but stayed on the field up front as Tenby played with a new formation. In the second half, Letterston regained the lead from the penalty spot when Mathew Lewis found the back of the net, but Alan Townsend popped up again for Tenby with his second goal of the match. Everyone battled hard for Tenby in the muddy conditions in an excellent team performance and the visitors came away with the points after scoring the winning goal. There were good performances by Alan Townsend up front, Steve Williams and Lee Simmons at the back and Mick Thomas in goal. Pembroke Boro 3 Manorbier United 2

Two goals by the prolific scoring Darren Thomas plus an own goal gave Boro the edge over Manorbier United. Saundersfoot Sports 10 Hundleton 1 Saundersfoot Sports were too strong for Hundleton on the day as the goals were scored thick and fast. Simon Stanford had a hat-trick, Tom Spencer and Danny Caine picked up two goals each and the other goals were scored by Jason Llama, Paul Evans and Andrew Davies.
