Writer, Derek Webb, who lives near Maenclochog is having two of his plays performed for the first time in one week. He was one of four winners in a nationwide competition to find plays that could be performed in pubs during the WordMarket Festival in South Cumbria.
On Tuesday and Wednesday, his short play 'Goodbye Simon' is being produced in Kendal and Ullswater in the Lake District. It will also form part of a showcase of pub plays at Barrow-in-Furness later in the month.
Then, on Thursday evening at the Sherman Theatre in Cardiff, another short play called 'Who's Joe?' - which is about a suspected terrorist - is being performed as part of the Sherman's monthly Script Slam - described as an evening of new writing, good music and cold beer!
