Division One
Tenby 2 Carew 2
Carew were on top in the first half and took the lead after 30 minutes when James Buckle scored after receiving a cross from Carl Wainwright on the left.
Twenty minutes into the second half, Carew scored again when Carl Wainwright drilled the ball into the back of the net from the edge of the box after being set up by Paul Bullock.
However, Tenby were gradually getting into the game and probably had the better of the second half. The introduction of Ryan Lawrence, who came on as second half substitute, had an immediate impact. He scored the first of Tenby's two goals with a header which looped over the head of Carew goalkeeper Ian Kerrison after Carew had failed to clear the ball cleanly.
The goal lifted the heads of the Tenby players who played with more purpose and young Jack Christopher equalised with a nice finish from just outside the box with 10 minutes of the match remaining.
For Carew, Paul Bullock played well in the centre of midfield, Ian Kerrison was stability itself between the sticks and Carl Wainwright did a lot of running up front for the first hour of the match.
For Tenby, Ryan Lawrence revelled in his free role, Phil Catlin and Scott McLaughlin were back to their best and Jack Christopher impressed up front.
Goodwick United 3 Narberth 0
The Bluebirds were most disappointed at the result, especially after dominating the game through the first half-hour. However, David Hayes scored for Goodwick on the break and then Ryan Thomas gave his team a lead of two goals by the interval.
The Bluebirds suffered a setback in the second half with injuries to three key players, Matthew Lloyd, Chris O'Connell and Craig Hurst. Each of the players had to leave the field to be substituted and manager Barry Walters was forced into action.
Nigel Delaney picked up the third goal for Goodwick, although Narberth's Wayne Howells came close to scoring when his shot hit the crossbar.
Injuries disrupted the flow of Narberth's play, although improved finishing in the first 30 minutes would have put a different complexion on this game.
Saundersfoot Sports 0 Hakin United 4
Saundersfoot competed with a strong Hakin team for the first 20 minutes and had three or four decent chances which were not taken.
However, Paul Jones put the Vikings in front with a penalty after 25 minutes after a foul in the box and five minutes later Jones nipped in again to take advantage of a defensive error to increase the lead.
For the closing stages of the first half, Sports continued to compete and the action was from end to end.
Early in the second half, Paul Jones clinched his hat-trick when he was alert enough to take advantage of another defensive slip-up and shortly afterwards he picked up a half clearance to score again.
Despite the scoreline, it was a match where Saundersfoot were in the game throughout, but defensive errors cost them dear against a team of Hakin's class, especially when the Vikings have a striker of the calibre of Paul Jones.
As Phil Jones and Jason Bridges were both unavailable for Saundersfoot, Damien Keight was promoted from the Seconds and had a good game on the right of midfield before being injured. Danny Caine and Simon Cole were also active in midfield, with Jason Llama solid in defence and Daniel Brace pulled off some good saves in goal.
Division Two
Johnston 4 Manorbier United 0
The Manorbier players were rather despondent after this match as the team went down to their seventh defeat of the season. The first half was fairly even and chances were created at both ends by both teams, the difference being that Johnston made the most of theirs.
Simon Ormond gave Johnston the lead after 10 minutes and then shortly before the half-time break Brett James got the second for the home team.
In the second half, the visitors played with more purpose and commitment, but still failed to find the back of the net.
Midway through the half, Simon Ormond picked up his second goal of the game and Russell Murray finished the scoring with a late goal for Johnston.
For Manorbier, Terry George was sound in the middle of defence.
Things can only get better for the Manorbier team and with a bit more emphasis on finishing they could pick up a few results.
Lawrenny 1
Milford United 2
Lowly Lawrenny came close to pulling off their second win of the season, but United picked up the points, netting twice through Daniel Bailey and Nick Woodrow as opposed to Lawrenny's solitary goal through Steve Lewis.
Pendine 2
Letterston 1
The Seagulls had a good win at home against third place Letterston.
The Seagulls were able to play their strongest team available to date this season. Pendine created a lot of chances and would have scored more with improved finishing.
Justin Blewitt gave the Seagulls the lead and then Robert De Schoolmeester increased the lead before half-time when he tapped the ball into the back of the net after receiving a cross from Lee Waters who had made a break down the left.
Waters was playing in Pendine colours for the first time this season on his return from Haverfordwest.
Paul Taylor scored for Letterston after five minutes of the second half, but play for the remainder of the half was quite even and no more goals were scored.
Gary Owen had an excellent debut in midfield where Justin Blewitt was also prominent.
Goalkeeper Mark Doble showed a safe pair of hands and Robert De Schoolmeester played well up front.
Kilgetty 2
Pembroke Boro 0
Kilgetty were on top throughout the first half, but were unable to score despite creating numerous chances.
In the second half, striker Mike Beynon displayed his cutting edge with two superb solo goals.
After the goals by Beynon, there was never any doubt about the eventual outcome. It was a good team effort by Kilgetty where Grant James and Ollie Griffiths were in control of the midfield area.
Neyland 0
St. Clears 1
St. Clears played some quality football and deserved to score after 30 minutes when Sam Thomas latched onto a pass back to the goalkeeper to lob the ball over the 'keeper's head to put the Saints in front.
The Saints played some good football throughout the match and showed improved discipline. The visitors came close to going two up, but a shot by Diean Glynn at the start of the second half hit the crossbar.
Howard Pickersgill played well in goal, Diean Glynn and Kris Stone had good all-round games in midfield, while Paul Edwards and Sam Thomas were in the thick of any attacking moves up front.
Division Three
Angle 4 Templeton 1
There was little to choose between the two teams in the first half. Angle took the lead through Jamie Lee when Templeton failed to clear a corner, but Jamie Bradfield equalised after a move involving five or six players.
The visitors were reduced to 10 men when Wayne Scourfield retaliated after a bad tackle and Jason Davies put his team in front again with a shot from 16 yards.
If anything, Templeton were the better team in the second half, but just could not get the ball into the back of the net.
With the visitors concentrating on attack, they were liable when Angle broke away and the home team had two late goals through Mike Griffiths in the last five minutes to inflate the margin of victory.
For Templeton, Andrew Davies was steady at right back, Nicky Phillips had a promising debut up front and once again Morgan Preece was consistent in the centre of midfield.
Reserve Division One
Carew 2 Tenby 3
This pulsating local Derby could have gone either way and for the last 20 minutes it was end to end action.
Tenby took the lead through Liam Robson after 25 minutes and the young striker also had a shot cleared off the line.
Sam Goodwin equalised for Carew with a shot from just inside the 18-yard box, but Robson scored again shortly before the interval with a diagonal shot to the far left.
At the start of the second half, the Carew players lifted themselves up and came back at the visitors, but Liam Robson clinched his hat-trick midway through the half.
Carew striker Darren Thomas latched on to a cross right by Mathew Birch and his accurate header found the back of the net to set up an exciting finish.
In fact, Darren Thomas came close to scoring again with another header, but Tenby keeper Lewis Hurlow managed to get a hand to the ball so that the visitors won an exciting match by just one goal.
For Carew, 16-year-old Mathew Birch looked a nice prospect on the right of midfield in only his fourth senior game for the club and for the visitors, his counterpart Perry Broadhurst had an excellent game in the same position.
Narberth v
Pennar Robins
The Narberth players had changed and were ready for action when a message came through to Jesse Road that Pennar Robins were unable to raise a team.
Monkton Swifts 9 Kilgetty 1
Kilgetty were swept aside by championship chasing Monkton Swifts, for whom both Barry Dilworth and Paul Lacey had hat-tricks. Swifts also scored three other goals, two by Leroy Thomas and the other by Daniel Scourfield.
Kilgetty claimed a consolation goal through Jamie Morgan.
Reserve Division Two
Manorbier United 1 Camrose 9
On the day, Manorbier had little to offer against the class and composure of promotion-seeking Camrose, who were five goals up at half-time. John Regan scored a hat-trick in the first half and was supported by goals from Marco Siso and John Edwards.
In the second half, Manorbier kept at it and struck back through a well-taken goal by Gavin Evans after a good build up. However, Camrose scored four more, with Ian Cahill getting one after John Regan added to his hat-trick of the first half with three more goals.
St. Clears 0
Milford Athletic 3
Both teams produced entertaining football for the spectators and the first half was a game of nip and tuck, although the visitors took the lead after 20 minutes when Dai Davies headed the ball home from a corner.
It was much the same story in the second half. Milford Athletic probably deserved to win, although the young St. Clears players were quick and nippy around the park.
The visitors scored two more goals in the second half, both identical to the first half goal, when Darren Williams and Dai Davies scored with headers from a corner.
Clarbeston Road 5 Lawrenny 1
After a promising start, Lawrenny took the lead through Wayne James who finished a move started from midfield with a one-on-one with the 'keeper.
Clarbie equalised quickly when Lee Harris scored with a direct free-kick and the home team went into the lead following a cross-cum-shot from Mark Petrie and a goal by Julian Rees.
In the second half, Lawrenny concentrated their efforts on attack to get back into the game, but were hit twice on the break by Lee Harris, who added to his first half goal.
Despite the final outcome, it was a reasonable team effort for Lawrenny, for whom Mike Howe stood out in midfield.
Hundleton 1 Pendine 4
It was a good day for the Pendine club, with the reserve team emulating the victory of the first team in Division Two.
Robbie Waters opened the scoring for the Seagulls when he picked up a ball which was bobbing around in the box and then went further ahead through a 25-yard volley from Gareth Davies.
Hundleton managed to reduce the deficit before the interval when striker Andrew James scored from short range.
The Seagulls came out with more conviction in the second half and Greg Reynolds extended the lead when he was well positioned to take advantage of a cross from Jack Morris.
Any doubt about the final outcome was removed when Robbie Waters picked up his second goal after excellent work by the Reynolds brothers, Greg and Wesley, in midfield.
The win was Pendine's first of the season in Reserve Division Two and was celebrated appropriately after the match.
