Division One

Carew 0

Saundersfoot Sports 1

The only goal of the match came after 10 minutes when Matthew Skeels scored for the visitors. Darren Umanee had a run down the left from a throw-in to link up with Steve Davies who in turn fed Skeels with a cross.

The first half was fairly even, although after conceding the goal, Carew lifted their game and had the better of considerable chunks of the match.

However, although chances were created, Carew were unable to score, with Paul Bullock, Richard Bullock and Martin Scourfield each coming close to scoring.

Daniel Brace, in goal for Saundersfoot, pulled off some exceptional saves and fullback Phil Jones looked solid in his first full match of the season.

The visitors created a number of chances later on in the match with breakaway movements as Carew strove to equalise. Saundersfoot looked strong at the front and Danny Caine posed problems for the Carew defence.

Prendergast Villa 1

Tenby dominated most of this game and should have clinched the result in the first half after creating at least six genuine goal-scoring opportunities.

A first half penalty award gave Tenby an opportunity to take the lead, but unfortunately Phil Catlin missed the opportunity halfway through the half.

It was a similar story in the second half, with once again numerous chances being missed.

Joe John scored for Villa with 15 minutes of the match remaining with a long shot from near the halfway line when the ball went over the head of goalkeeper Ben Evans.

Frustrated at being unable to score, Tenby infringed a number of times and received three yellow cards and skipper Anthony Griffiths received a red card following an over-zealous challenge.

With so many chances being created, Tenby must find a way of improving their finishing.

Camrose 3

League leaders Camrose found the Bluebirds on form at Jesse Road in the first half and were on the back-foot for most of the time.

However, the visitors scored shortly before the end of the first half when Marcus Taylor finished a run down the right touchline.

Unfortunately for the Bluebirds, goalkeeper Huw Davies collided with Adi Smith just before half-time and was unable to start the second half because of concussion.

Wayne Howells deputised in goal and was still finding his feet when Adi Smith added a second for the visitors.

The Bluebirds got back into the game again and reduced the lead from a goalmouth scramble when Raff Barnett scored from short range.

However, Adi Smith scored again, but with two minutes of the match remaining, substitute Marc Hughes found the back of the net with a good shot.

Narberth pressed to equalise, but Camrose held on to their slender lead.

Despite the result, it was a good team performance by the Bluebirds and the result could well have been different if Narberth had been able to finish off some scoring opportunities.

Division Two

Manorbier 0 Hubberston 2

Players found the diagonal wind disconcerting and a lot of the game was played in the middle of the park.

The Hubberston team were physically stronger than their Manorbier counterparts and were hungrier for the win on the day.

Manorbier had slight wind advantage in the first half and, although Phil Christopher came close to scoring, it was the visitors who took the lead 15 minutes before half-time with a goal from Greg McIntosh.

Midway through the second half, Hubberston extended their lead with a goal from Jason Thomas.

Manorbier rallied and created a lot of pressure during the closing stages of the match and again came tantalisingly close to getting the ball into the back of the net.

For Manorbier, 16-year-old James Hall worked tirelessly up front. In addition, both Ben Hall and Phill McWeeny made welcome returns to league action when both came on as substitutes after long term injuries.

Fishguard Sports 3 Lawrenny 1

Slow to start, Lawrenny were three goals down after just 15 minutes as Sports scored with strikes by Anthony Davies, Ben Jones and Arwel Thomas.

However, Lawrenny fought back well and reduced the deficit before the interval as Steve Lewis found the back of the net when he toe-poked the ball over the line from a goalmouth scramble.

In fact, Lawrenny had the opportunity to equalise, but Andrew Cole and Steve Lewis were just off target.

In the second half, Lawrenny continued to give a good account of themselves through a good team effort, while goalkeeper Stephen Cole pulled off some fine saves to maintain a clean sheet.

Milford United 2 Pendine 0

The Seagulls played with the benefit of the wind in the first half, but failed to score despite creating chances. At the other end of the field, excellent keeping by Mark Doble resulted in the strong Milford United team being kept at bay during the first half.

The Seagulls continued to defend strongly in the second half, although United scored following strikes by Nick Woodrow and Matthew Charnley.

Apart from the performance of Doble in goal, young Paul Thomas in midfield and Paul John, who came on as a substitute fullback, caught the eye, while Damian Bridgman was steady at fullback.

Letterston 4 Kilgetty 1

With two players losing their way to the ground, Kilgetty started the match with nine players, although they had a full complement later on.

Striker Adam Thorne gave Kilgetty an early lead, but Letterston equalised through Stuart Gray and then took the lead through Gareth Mathias.

In the second half, Letterston scored two more goals, both of which were scored by Rob Couzens.

It was a below par performance by the Kilgetty team, although Ollie Griffiths played his heart out for the visitors.

St. Clears 1

Johnston 2

The Saints conceded an early goal when Simon Ormond scored for the visitors, but equalised following a solo effort by Eddie Wiggins.

The Saints kept the scores level until just before half-time when Jim Payne gave the visitors the lead once again.

For most of the second half, St. Clears were on top, but failed to score despite creating numerous opportunities.

Nick Hogburn was solid at the back, Sam Thomas lively up front and Alec Weston played well until being forced to leave the field through injury.

Division Three

Uzmaston 0 Templeton 3

Both teams found that the swirling wind made it difficult to control the ball. The visitors had most of the wind advantage in the first half, but performed better in the second half when they were able to control the ball more against the wind.

Wayne Scourfield gave the visitors the lead shortly before half-time with a penalty.

In the second half, Templeton played some quality football and were rewarded when striker Jamie Bradfield was on target with two excellent goals.

Chris Freason also looked lively up front and there were good performances from the Scourfield brothers, with Wayne creative in midfield and Wesley defending well at the back.

Hundleton 1

St. Florence 3

St. Florence, who have two games in hand over Third Division leaders Haverfordwest County and three over Hundleton, leapfrogged over Hundleton into second position following this excellent win.

Scott Smith gave the Saints the lead in the first half, which was extended with a terrific shot from 35 yards into the top corner by Phillip Evans before the interval.

In the second half, Lee Burgin scored for Hundleton, but James Knight put the result beyond doubt to score the third goal for the visitors.

Hundleton looked a good young side and the Saints can be pleased with the result following a good team performance.

Ben McDonnell had an outstanding game for the visitors playing out of position at left-back.

Reserve Division One

Goodwick United 2 Narberth 1

Narberth travelled to Goodwick with a depleted team and went a goal down after 20 minutes when Steven Rowe scored with a header when he received the ball from a free-kick.

The Bluebirds came back strongly and came close to scoring when Mathew Johns hit the bar with a free-kick.

Nigel Thomas, who had been pressed into emergency service from semi-retirement along with Nigel Williams, equalised for the visitors when he found the top corner with a terrific shot from 20 yards.

In the second half, the Bluebirds created a number of chances, but were unable to score, with the United 'keeper pulling off some good saves.

Shortly before the final whistle, Goodwick broke away and Bryn Griffiths scored with a long range effort.

Everyone battled hard for the Bluebirds, who were disappointed not to at least equalise.

Gavin Smith played well until being forced to leave the field with a hamstring injury and Simon Evans had a good all-round game on the right side of midfield. John Marsden proved a competent deputy for Gavin Smith in the second half.

Kilgetty 2

Hakin United 8

Although the Vikings were on top as the result of some good football the visitors would have been slightly flattered by the scoreline in this match.

Despite conceding eight goals by the final whistle, Kilgetty were in the game for the first 60 minutes.

Aaron Owens scored for Hakin after five minutes when the visitors beat the offside trap.

Two more goals followed before the match was 10 minutes old. Sam Coleman equalised for Kilgetty with a shot which went in after hitting the underside of the bar and then Adam La Rosa scored for Hakin to give the visitors a lead of one goal at the interval.

At the start of the second half, Hakin scored again through Anthony Aldred, but Kilgetty came back strongly when Jamie Morgan hit a first time volley past the 'keeper.

Hakin increased the lead with a penalty by Nick Thomas, which seemed to knock the stuffing out of the whole team and Hakin doubled their score in the latter stages of the second half, with Nick Thomas picking up his second goal of the match to supplement the hat-trick by Nicholas Jones.

Jamie Morgan looked sharp up front for Kilgetty having clearly worked hard on his fitness levels and the experienced Paul Mansbridge played well in midfield.

Saundersfoot Sports 0 Monkton Swifts 1

This was an exciting end-to-end game as Sports 'keeper Peter Rattenberry pulled off some first class saves as the Swifts came at Saundersfoot in the first half.

Early in the second half, Andrew Hughes came on for player/manager Mike Cornick and he had an outstanding game for Saundersfoot.

The only goal of the match came 15 minutes from the end when Barry Dilworth scored from the penalty spot.

Saundersfoot, for whom Peter Rattenberry excelled playing in goal, were unlucky not to have a share of the points.

Tenby 2 St. Ishmaels 4

Better finishing by St. Ishmaels put the visitors on top during the second half after it was all-square at half-time.

Tenby played some attractive football and created chances. However, Tish took the lead with an own goal and then Liam Robson equalised for Tenby.

The visitors went into the lead again with a goal by Gareth McKeown, but Liam Robson picked up his second goal of the match after good work by Jack Christopher to equalise for Tenby.

Twenty minutes into the second half, Daniel Flynn scored for the visitors to regain the lead, which was extended after a goal by Mark John.

Although Tenby continued to create chances, the young players found it difficult to penetrate the Tish defence as the players were more experienced.

For Tenby, Tony Beare was sound at the back, whilst 16-year-old strikers Jack Christopher and Liam Robson worked well together up front.

Prendergast Villa 1 Carew 2

Carew started the match strongly against a very young Villa team, but tended to get over-complicated in their play.

The wake up call came after Mark Falzon nipped in to score when a through ball rebounded off 'keeper Mathew Phillips.

Carew fought back and equalised with a goal from Darren Thomas to the bottom corner. As a result, the visitors settled down and started to string a few attacking movements together.

Shortly before half-time, Sam Goodwin found the top corner with a shot from 18 yards to put the visitors in front.

In the second half, Carew continued to create chances, but were unable to puncture the Villa defence, which was bolstered by a couple of older heads.

Like a number of visiting teams, Carew found it difficult to adjust to playing within the confines of the smaller pitch and in many ways it was a disappointing below par performance by the visitors.

Reserve Division Two

Neyland 2 St. Clears 3

In the first half, the Saints had the benefit of the wind at their backs and were playing down the slope. However, the kick and rush tactics did not prove very productive and Neyland took the lead after 25 minutes when Shane Phillips hit the ball into the back of the net from 25 yards.

Just before the interval, Clive Reynolds levelled the scores with a left-footed shot into the bottom corner.

Playing against the wind in the second half, St. Clears revised their tactical approach and kept the ball on the deck.

Neyland increased the lead with a goal by David Knapp, but Mel Lewis quickly equalised when he pounced on the ball after the 'keeper had dropped a cross from the corner.

With 15 minutes of the match remaining, Marcus Leefe scored with a free-kick from outside the box and the Saints held out despite playing the last 10 minutes with a player short as Colin Reynolds limped off the field injured.

It was a good team performance by the Saints, for whom everybody battled hard.

Pendine 0

Fishguard Sports 10

The Seagulls were unable to prevent the relentless pressure from the Sports team who were on fire during this match.

Rhodri Raymond, Robert Griffiths and Gareth O'Sullivan each scored a brace of goals for the visitors and there was a goal apiece for James Wilmott, Joel Garnon, Dean Drummond and Daniel John.

Lawrenny 0 Letterston 3

Letterston made better use of the strong wind and three goals in the first half by the visitors proved to be decisive. Brian Mathias, Chris Sampson and Mike Williams were the players on target for Letterston.

Lawrenny had wind advantage in the second half, but did not possess the same finishing power as the visitors, so that the home team failed to score.

Steve Rogers had a good all-round game in midfield for Lawrenny.
