There were plenty of celebrations for Pembrokeshire at this AA Hospitality Awards this week, as two local establishments were acknowledged at the ceremony.
The AA Hospitality Awards are considered to be the industry’s own ‘Oscars’ and is one of the unique times when the hospitality industry come together to recognise the achievements of the nations’ best hoteliers, restaurateurs and publicans.
From top hotels and restaurants to the best of British pubs the AA Hospitality Awards celebrate everything that is great in British hospitality.
The event, which was hosted by newsreader and television presenter Fiona Bruce at the Grosvenor House Hotel on London’s Park Lane on Monday, featured a menu created by Michelin-starred Nathan Outlaw.
Coast in Saundersfoot was named ‘Restaurant of the Year for Wales 2015’ at the annual awards. The restaurant which opened in April 2014 and is headed up by chef Will Holland, can now add this latest accolade to their two AA Rosettes, obtained within just 10 days of opening.
Also in attendance was Coast’s sister hotel The Grove, Narberth which celebrated becoming one of three new four red-star hotels.
This came on the back of The Grove scooping another accolade in The Good Hotel Guide 2016, which was published this week, after being named ‘Welsh Hotel of the Year’ and awarded a coveted César award - known as the Oscars of the hotel industry.
All the winners will appear in the latest edition of the 2016 ‘AA Hotel, Restaurant and Pub Guides’ which were launched at the event.
