The two-hour session took place in the School Hall and gives the opportunity to the children and elderly to socialise and enjoy a community activity. The benefits to sufferers of dementia-related illness or loneliness are enormous giving them confidence to meet twice a month on the first and third Thursdays each month.
The next joint meeting of the LMG with the Narberth RotaKids will be at the Primary School on Thursday, February 7, from 1.30 - 3.30 pm. Later in the month, on February 21, the LMG will meet at the Narberth Museum where the ‘Elderly Brothers’ quintet will entertain them with a guitar-accompanied sing-song. Persons or carers wishing to come along are welcome to join in. There is no membership or joining fee. It is entirely free of charge. During the two-hour sessions, between 1.30 and 3.30 pm, free refreshments are served.
