At the recent annual dinner of the Pembrokeshire Friendly League of Short Mat Bowls Clubs, held at the Giltar Hotel, Tenby, Llanteg SMBC chairman, Mrs. Mary Owen, was presented with the League Winners Shield for the second year running. Also at this dinner, Mrs. Margaret Brinsden was presented with the winner's cup for the singles competition which was held at Heatherton.

Although Llanteg are just a small club with only 11 players in total, they are all loyal and dedicated to the club which meets at Llanteg Village Hall on Monday and Thursday evenings throughout the year.

During the winter months the competitive league games take place, whilst during summer months friendly fixtures are held. Anyone wishing to join the club will be very welcome, just go along after 7 pm on any Monday or Thursday evening to Llanteg Village Hall.

On May 1, Llanteg played host to the League for the Chairman's Competition where a team picked by the league chairman played Llanteg. This resulted in a very enjoyable evening, with Llanteg coming out on top.

A raffle was held and a total of £70 was raised which will be presented to the charity MIND.
