History Society: For the July meeting, the society had a very informative talk on Idrys Ginger Beer given by Mr. Keith Johnson. Few knew that the gentleman behind the Idrys brand had at one time lived at New House, near Glanrhyd, and his life story proved very interesting. September visit: After a break in August, the History Society will be having an evening visit to Mr. Peter Thomas's vast collection of old artefacts at Templeton on Monday, September 20. Members will be meeting up at Templeton by 7 pm and any friends or visitors are welcome to join them. If you need directions or transport, please ring Ruth on 831298. 100 Club: At a hall committee meeting last Tuesday, the draw was made by Mr. Peter Watson and the winners were: £20 - Ruth Roberts (number 88); £15 - Eirwen Davies (number 17). Please ring 831383 for more information. Village website: This is being undertaken by Peter Watson in collaboration with PAVS.
