Crunwere War Memorial: Llanteg History Society recently commissioned a cross-stitch war memorial which was designed and worked by Diana John, of Ruelwall, Llanteg. The dedication and unveiling will be held tomorrow (Saturday) at 3 pm in Llanteg Village Hall. The service will be conducted by Rev. Bate and will be followed by refreshments. Everyone is welcome.
Llanteg Picture Book (1850s-1950s): A big thank you to everyone who has once again loaned the History Society more of their precious photographs. With great difficulty they have now managed to select 176 pictures and the book will shortly be going to the printers. They are sorry that due to the constraints of space and cost they have not been able to include all the pictures lent to us. There were so many lovely photographs, they could have easily filled the book twice over and it was a very hard task to decide which ones to include and which to leave out. Included are photographs from 35 local families, but obviously not everyone will be represented in these pictures. It is hoped that the book will be a fair representation of the village as it was in the early 20th century.
