The last weekend in July is to be a busy one for Llanfihangel Abercwyn Church members. This year the St. Clears church decided to host its own festival of fund-raising events over four days, and will run as follows: Thursday, July 28: 7 pm Church Flower Festival to be opened by Mrs. Conrad Evans (theme - 'History of a Parish/Hanes-y-Plwyf'). Friday, July 29: Flower Festival, church open 10.30 am - 8 pm. Saturday, July 30: Flower Festival, church open 10.30 am - 8 pm. Sunday, July 31: Flower Festival, church open 10.30 am - 6 pm; annual pilgrim's walk starting from Boat Club, St. Clears, at 10 am, ending at Old Church at Treventy for service at 11 am - bring your own picnic; Grand Concert Church, 7 pm (president - Mr. Hugh Phillips, compare - Ifan (JCB) Davies, various artistes) - tickets £5, available from 01994 230536. Please support your church over these four days. All proceeds to church funds.
