Carly Thomas from Pembroke is currently in her first year of a four-year Masters Degree in Chemistry at Birmingham University.

She and a number of other students are climbing Kilimanjaro in Tanzania in August to raise money in aid of the Meningitis Research Foundation.

Carly has been given a challenging fundraising target of £2,500 and recently attended a coffee morning at Pembroke Town Hall organised by Pembroke and Pembroke Dock Lions Club and was presented with a generous donation of £250 by the Lions Club towards her target..
