An entertaining night is in store at Narberth's Queen's Hall later this month when Limehouse Lizzy, the world's number one Thin Lizzy tribute band, make a welcome appearance. As with most fashions and in keeping with the current voracious appetite for all things '70s and '80s, Thin Lizzy are finding themselves back in the public eye. Until recently, mention the name to the average 35- plus pop fan and the first response would often be along the lines of, "wasn't he that cool black guy with the afro who married Leslie Crowther's daughter?" Only a little gentle prodding could coax 'The Boys Are Back In Town' as Thin Lizzy's best-remembered hit. Egged on a little further with 'Whisky In The Jar' and 'Sarah' and the temporary mental fog would lift and all would fall into place. This superb legacy, cherished and celebrated by Limehouse Lizzy with genuine enthusiasm, helps to explain much of their current success. The show Narberth is on Saturday, November 18. Doors open at 8 pm, with tickets priced £12 in advance, plus £1 booking fee, or £14 on the door. Tel. 01834 861212.
