A Kilgetty couple are getting ready for a sparkling switch-on of their festive charity lighting display.

Sheila and Vic Norman have decked out their bungalow at Kingsmoor Close in aid of the Paul Sartori Foundation for the past seven years.

And donations to the charity have been growing year on year - as have the property's illuminations.

"We collected just £28 the first year, but last Christmas it was £480, so it would be lovely to double that this year," said Mr. Norman. "We've got even more lights this year, and we started getting everything sorted out in the first week of October.

"We've had some fantastic deals on lights this year from DSR Batteries in Haverfordwest and Carmarthen Lights, so we are very grateful to them."

The Normans' display looks like being a winter wildlife wonderland this year, with a swan and dolphin on an artifial lake being joined by a variety of sparkling creatures, including baby polar bears, a fox, penguins, and, of course, reindeer.

The grand switch-on, by county councillor Jacob Williams, takes place on Sunday, December 1, at 6 pm. Mulled wine and mince pies will be served, all welcome.
