Tenby's historic town walls should be celebrated and be more visually highlighted, according to a local councillor. Speaking at Tuesday night's meeting of the town council, Clr. Mrs. Sue Lane believed that one of the town's greatest assets should be a sight that greets visitors to the town, rather than one that just surrounds them. "Anyone driving into Tenby at this time of year would hardly notice one of the town's greatest monuments," claimed Clr. Mrs. Lane. "I think it would be a great idea to look into getting the walls lit up at this time of the year, as it would really enhance the town as a whole," she continued, adding that the council would need to look into funding for such a scheme. Clr. Mike Evans suggested that the council could invite Pembrokeshire County Council's Melissa Howells, who is responsible for ancient monuments, to a future meeting to discuss the proposal.
