Tenby lifeboat was launched early on Sunday morning after Milford Haven Coastguard responded an urgent call from the skipper of a 38-foot yacht that was rapidly taking in water off Old Castle Head.

The yacht was on passage from Tenby to Neyland when the shaft seal failed after the yacht's propeller was fouled on a rope.

The six crew on board managed to stem the flow of water and pump out before the lifeboat arrived on scene.

The lifeboat was launched shortly after 8.30 am escorted the yacht to the entrance of Milford Haven in case the seal failed again, before returning to station.
