A fishing vessel, which taking in water off the South Pembrokeshire coast, was escorted to safety on Wednesday by Angle's new RNLI Tamar class lifeboat, Mark Mason.

The all-weather lifeboat, with relief coxswain Phil John at the helm, was launched at 10.10 am and located the Milford-based Emily Rose between Linney Head and Sheep Island.

In the 45-minute operation, the lifeboat escorted the fishing vessel, with two persons on board, safely back to Milford Marina. The lifeboat was re-housed at 10.50 am.

It was the fourth call-out for the Tamar class lifeboat, Mark Mason, since her arrival at Angle on March 17. The new lifeboat will be formally named at a ceremony next month.
