Emergency rescue teams were involved in a medical transfer on Wednesday evening.
At 5.46 pm, Milford Haven Coastguard was requested by ambulance control to assist in the transfer of a paramedic to Caldey Island to treat an elderly person who had fallen and sustained head injuries.
Tenby's relief Tamar class lifeboat was tasked to transfer a paramedic and coastguard personnel to Caldey Island.
The lifeboat launched at 6.10 pm and made best speed to the island.
After assessment, it was decided to airlift the casualty to hospital.
The air ambulance duly arrived and conveyed the casualty to Cardiff.
The paramedic and members of Tenby Coastguard Rescue Team were recovered from the island and taken back to Tenby.
