Tenby's all weather lifeboat the Haydn Miller launched last Thursday at 2.14 pm to rescue a fishing vessel which had lost power after its gearbox became separated from the engine whilst near Stack Rocks.

The range safety vessel Smitt Merion was on patrol in the area and towed the stricken vessel away from the shore to safe water.

Tenby lifeboat took over at Stackpole Head and towed it to its mooring in Saundersfoot Bay.

The skipper and the crew of the vessel were recovered to the lifeboat and taken back to Tenby Lifeboat Station to be met by members of the Coastguard Rescue Team.
