Sir, Life is a lucky dip for disabled people living in Tenby. Trying to gain access to suitable housing, health care and other essential services is similar to entering the lucky dip fairground competition; sometimes you might get what you are looking for, but all too often you are left empty-handed. The disability charity John Grooms has recently launched a new campaign appropriately titled 'Life is a Lucky Dip for Disabled People'. As a disabled person, I am supporting the charity as it aims to raise awareness of the need for more essential services for disabled people and start a real conversation between disabled people, service providers and MPs. My experience of living in Tenby is that disabled people are not able to use dropped pavements because cars and lorries are not aware they are for wheelchairs and scooters to use. Maybe if they were more obvious, they would realise they were for disabled people. They need to be marked, like bays made for disabled car users. Mrs. Gerry Meaney,
4 Hanover Court, Picton Road, Tenby.
