Keith and Lisa May, of the Three Mariners in Tenby, have decided to give something back to the local community as a 'thank you' for the late licence which allows them to open until 1 am on Saturdays.

On Saturday evenings, between 8 pm and 12 midnight, customers entering the St. George Street premises are now being asked to pay an 'entrance fee', with money raised aiding local and worthy causes.

It is not compulsory, but is already proving very worthwhile, with many charities benefiting from the scheme.

The Air Ambulance, Friends of the Cottage Hospital and Children with Leukaemia are just some of the charities the money raised by the Three Mariners has helped.

Mr. and Mrs. May are now looking for charities to get in touch with them, so they can have themed nights, where they can collect for certain charities exclusively.

Mr. May said: "It's our way to give something back to the local community and to say thank you for the late licence."

Any charities who would like to get involved in the scheme are asked to phone the Three Mariners on (01834) 842834.
