Welsh reality TV star Glyn Wise was in Haverfordwest on Tueasday visiting the county library to support a Wales-wide campaign to encourage more people to use their local library. The month-long campaign, entitled 'Welsh Libraries - Something to Shout About', will see famous Welsh faces taking part in events at libraries all over Wales to promote the whole range of library services on offer, from free broadband access to various clubs and classes and the lending of books, cds and dvds. Neil Bennett, head of information and cultural services, invited Glyn to take a look around Haverfordwest Library in Dew Street, where he opened the new Graphic Novel section and was interviewed by a young people's editorial team about the campaign and to ask him what life is like as a TV and radio celebrity. Speaking at the event, Glyn said: "I am delighted to add my support to the 'Something to Shout About' campaign. Libraries are something to shout about because they have so much to offer young people, from watching interactive TV programmes like Big Brother online for free to doing research for school or college projects - and you can do them quicker by using the librarians' expertise to help. Even if you just want a place to meet your mates or keep in touch by e-mail, it's worth checking your library out!" Pembrokeshire has 14 libraries at Crymych, Fishguard, Goodwick, Hakin, Haverfordwest, Milford Haven, Narberth, Newport, Neyland, Pembroke, Pembroke Dock, Saundersfoot, St. Davids and Tenby, as well as three well-used mobile libraries.
