If you would like some clear, practical advice on using your digital device, then why not consider going to a gadget drop-in session at your local library?
The sessions are hosted weekly by digital volunteers at a number of libraries around Pembrokeshire.
The volunteers offer advice on using computers, laptops, tablets and smartphones.
“If you need help setting up a new device; transferring data; using email or social media accounts; or simply need some help on getting the most out of your device, then come along and talk to our friendly, supportive digital volunteers,” said Kath Woolcock, economy librarian.
Feedback from recent customers to gadget drop-in sessions across the county includes:
“I think this drop in session is an excellent idea and much appreciated” (customer at Fishguard Library).
“Thank you, very useful, friendly and professional” (customer at Haverfordwest Library).
“These are lifesavers for those of us who are not computer savvy” (customer at Tenby Library).
“Very helpful session teaching the basics of tablets to help get started and learn about the technology” (customer at Tenby Library).
Computers and iPads are available at the sessions, but please bring your own device if possible.
No booking is required, although slots can be booked at libraries in Fishguard and Haverfordwest.
The gadget drop-in sessions are as follows: Fishguard Library (01437 776 638) Thursdays (10 am - 12 pm); Haverfordwest Library and Information Centre (01437 775 244) Wednesdays (10 am - 12 pm); Milford Haven Library and Information Centre (01437 771 888) Wednesdays (2 - 4 pm); Pembroke Dock Library (01437 775 825) Wednesdays (10 am -12 pm); Tenby Library (01437 775 151) Mondays (10 am -12 pm).
