Hywel Dda University Health Board (UHB) is inviting people to the Sgwrs Iach – Let’s Talk Health event in Queens Hall, Narberth on Tuesday, December 1.
Those interested in their health service, who want to find out more about local developments and services, or who want to share their views and experiences are invited to attend from 6.30-8.30 pm.
Topics discussed during the last round of events included communication; transport and parking; waiting times; access to General Practice; women and children’s services; and mental health services.
The UHB now wants to carry on the conversation it has started with local people and wants viewpoints on primary and community care, mental health services, parking in Glangwili and how they can improve the way they deliver services and communicate with you.
Chair of Hywel Dda UHB, Bernardine Rees said: “We’re pleased with the commitment that the public is making towards supporting having successful meetings and the Health Board will continue with its commitment to visiting the seven localities and carrying on the conversation we have started.
“The Health Board is open and honest in our responses. We have listened to some uncomfortable experiences through patient stories and also recognise that patients have described examples of excellent care.
The aim is that the events will include an open question and answer session and opportunity to join more focused discussions.”
Representatives from the Executive team will be available at the event in Narberth.
The event will also provide an opportunity to meet Hywel Dda Community Health Council (CHC) representatives to find out more about the role of the CHC and the support they offer patients in Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion and Pembrokeshire.
Information stands will also be provided by Organ Donation nurses , the Choose Well campaign, Pembrokeshire County Council, British Red Cross, Volunteering for Health, Social Services (Pembrokeshire County Council), Stop Smoking Wales, Welsh Ambulance Services Trust and Siarad Iechyd / Talking Health involvement and engagement scheme.
If you would like to help promote this event in your local community, a poster is available to download here, or you can telephone 01554 899056 to ask for a copy.
