Sir,
I couldn't believe my eyes when I read the report in last week's Observer about the Dyster Fountain. This saga has run and run; unlike the water that should flow from it.
A fountain, by its very definition, should have water flowing from it. To use the excuse that someone might mistake it for drinking water is laughable. If someone is foolish enough to lean into the flow of water, then on their head be it!
Surely we haven't waited all these years for its return only to have the council rename it the Dyster Lump of Marble! Come on Tenby, let the fountain flow.
Arthur Newby,
Tenby.
