NEXT Friday, July 16, at the Queen's Hall, Narberth, Sickofantic open their much anticipated summer box of delights to reveal a jam packed and entertaining line up.
This year, they intend to pull out of their innovative and magical hat top quality acts, belly dancers, jugglers and a magician.
The cream of local bands are appearing - the mighty, throbbing and rocking Love Rocket (formally Rockit Science), fresh from their exploits supporting L.A. Guns; the explosive and melodic Carmarthen trio Nikolai, touting their newly released single; and the best new young band around, ska punkers Johnny Action Finger, who recently won RASP Records Battle of the Bands in Cardigan.
This year's scoop is a band you truly must see - Ludes, the most exciting band to come out of London since the Libertines, and about whom NME said 'the Coral gone punk, Ludes are a delight'.
The swashbuckling Ludes deliver their ballsy blues with a timeless cool rock 'n roll swagger and this is probably the only chance you will get to see this nationally hotly tipped band this far west.
All this plus the area's premier skiffle exponents - Preseli Pete and the Bluestone Boys.
