A YOUNG pupil from Sageston Primary School has seen his poem chosen for publication in a popular book.

Seven-year-old Lee Rolinson's poem 'Sweet As Sugar' was selected as part of a competition to appear in the book called 'My First Riddle - Riddles From The UK'.

Children from all over the UK were asked to write a poem in the form of a riddle on a theme that inspired them.

Work for the publication was based on creativity, imagination and expression, and Lee's effort was inspired by his little sister Ella May.

The book is scheduled to be released on December 31.
