The Welsh College of Horticulture has teamed up with a local nursery owner to provide evening gardening classes (from 6.30 to 9 pm) in Pembroke Dock. Starting on January 12 at Pembroke Comprehensive School, Bush, the college will be running a course on trees, shrubs and climbers, followed in February by a course called Start Garden Design. Both courses are practical and give a good grounding for looking after and designing your garden space. The tutor, Jeffrey Horner, is an experienced nursery man and a life-time gardener, so there is plenty of expert advice at hand. The courses do lead to a nationally recognised qualification.
