Cardiff Business School student Rhys Bromby recently received personal congratulations from Dr. David Grant, Vice-Chancellor of Cardiff University, for his outstanding examination success at the university.
Rhys, a former pupil at Ysgol Greenhill School, won the The Grant Thornton Prize for the Best Performance in the Corporate Governance and Accountability module.
Rhys received a total prize cheque of £100 at the business school's annual prize-giving. The event, now in its 29th year, is an important occasion in the school's calendar.
In addition to distributing more than £11,000 in scholarship and prize money to students, it is an opportunity for the school to reinforce its commitment to teaching and rewarding quality.
It is also a chance for high calibre students to present themselves to prestigious companies such as Aldi, Deloitte and Pricewaterhouse Coopers who, in addition to sponsoring their prizes, may ultimately be their employer.
