A community newsletter is being launched in Jameston.
The Jameston Journal, compiled by the village's Community Association, will soon be dropping through the letterboxes of every household in Jameston and Manorbier Newton.
The Journal keeps residents up-to-date with the group's progress on their project to open a Village Hall, whilst at the same time encouraging interest in the plans which centre around a scheme for developments at the old Mission Hall. A survey to establish support and ideas is also being carried out.
Already, many ideas for possible uses for the hall have been suggested, including dances, dinners, social events, meetings and forums, group studies, toddler and parent groups, keep fit and other activity interests.
The short mat bowls club have also shown interest in booking time to meet at the hall once it is open and up and running.
An initial working group of officers, together with a committee, have been elected and all residents are being invited to join the association and help achieve the 'Mission'.
