Last November, Penally VC School celebrated 130 years and as part of their celebrations a CD was made showing the children performing role-play activities in Victorian costumes.
The CD, a compilation of images and video clips ran as a film within a time line that formed part of their display work. There was so much interest in the images that is has now been made into a CD to be sold locally.
"The images were so successfully received that the school decided to add to the content of it and celebrate not only the rich history of the school, but also present-day school life and future proposals for development, including an outdoor play area, covered pergola with decking and planters," said acting head, Graham Doney.
The school launched the CD following their school leavers service last Thursday.
It now includes images of recent, present day school life with other relevant school data including images of the village and local church.
The title of the CD is 'Penally Past, Present and Future'.
"The main purpose of the CD is to celebrate schooling in the village community of Penally," added Mr. Doney.
"We have had so many requests for a copy and they will be on sale locally and from the school.
"The school is proud of its rich traditions but also of the service it provides today.
"This CD provides an insight into the life of the school and contains a valuable portrayal of the progressive nature of the curriculum."
The school has been asked to display all the time-line historical data from its 130th celebrations, as part of an art exhibition in Tenby Museum during November.
The historical sections of the CD will also form a part of this.
