On Saturday, a crowd gathered on Castle Beach, Tenby, to observe the baptism of three believers by immersion in the sea. J. J. Rees, 18, Lloyd Rees, 17, and Dorothy Durdin, 86, were all baptised following their public profession of faith in Jesus Christ.
Though the rain was torrential at that particular moment, a large crowd sang hymns and and watched with some emotion the public testimony of these three. All claim to have been born again by the Spirit of God.
Baptism is the first step of obedience for such Christians, regardless of age! The command of Jesus Christ to His disciples was, 'Go into all the world and teach all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.'
Soup and bacon sandwiches were laid on by Christians who listen to the word of God which is preached at The Pulpit, in Augustus Place Community Centre, where the Bible is taught every Sunday evening at 6.30. All are welcome to come.
