Friends and neighbours in Lamphey, Hodgeston and Freshwater East came together at Lamphey Village Hall for a Jubilee Celebration last Friday afternoon and evening.
The sun shone warmly on the free event which included a children’s fancy dress parade and competition; face painting, tug-of-war, bouncy castle and slide, donkies, races, games and sports, ice-cream, tea and cakes.
Live music included Calico Jack, there was a DJ and disco, a bonfire, pig roast, barbecue and licensed bar.
With the exception of drink and food most things were free or subsidised by Lamphey Community Lamphey Community Association and Lamphey Community Council.
It turned out to be a “lovely afternoon and evening celebrating the Jubilee.”
