Lampeter Velfrey Community Council is concerned at the lack of affordable housing available in the community, for local people of all ages who need or wish to live in the area. In order to improve the situation, the council must first assess and establish the housing needs of the community, by conducting a local housing needs survey, to help plan possible future housing provision within the community. The council has been working with Pembrokeshire's rural housing enabler to produce the survey, which will be distributed to every household in the community over the next couple of weeks, and will give local people the opportunity to express their views on housing issues in the area. People with residential, family or employment links to the Lampeter Velfrey area, who are not currently living in the area but would like or need to live in the area, can also request a questionnaire from the rural housing enabler. In the interest of maintaining a sustainable community, it is very important that this questionnaire is completed and returned. If you would like more information, please contact Matthew Owens, rural housing enabler, on 01437 774769, email matthew.owens@rhe- pembs.co.uk or visit the website http://www.rhe">www.rhe- pembs.co.uk
